Fabia Super 2000 can be seen at Rally Bohemia

7/2/2008
The 35th Rally Bohemia will start on Friday 4th July from the Škoda Auto Museum in Mladá Boleslav. As many times in the past, the rally will take place under the auspices of Škoda Auto.

Rally Bohemia is traditional (since 1974) and one of the most prestigious races in the Czech Republic. Surrounded by Škoda’s “automobile town”, the rally promises to offer an attractive show, a vintage car race and, as part of the start-ramp presentation, the first appearance of the prototype of the Škoda Fabia Super 2000, the company's latest competition vehicle.

The test drivers involved in the vehicle testing and optimisation process of the Fabia Super 2000 Rally Car included Jan Kopecký, one of the most talented Czech rally drivers, the many-times Austrian Rally champion Raimund Baumschlager, the ex-world champion Sebastian Lindholm from Finalnd and, most recently, the two-time world champion and a rally icon Carlos Sainz.

The Škoda Fabia Super 2000 is fitted with a two-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine based on the standard 2.0. FSI / 110 kW unit, a six-speed sequential transmission, four-wheel drive and three passive differentials.  The length of the vehicle is 3,992 mm, the width 1,798 mm and the wheel base 2,486 mm.  All parameters of the vehicle comply with the FIA regulations.
